Financial Wellness with Aja Evans
Mar 20, 2023 Season 5 Episode 4
Anita Johnson

Aja is a board-certified therapist, speaker, and writer specializing in financial wellness. With over a decade of mental health experience, Aja consistently heard about the emotional impact of how people interact with their money. This was all too familiar, having gone through her financial literacy journey and reckoned with her feelings regarding her relationship with money. Aja made it a pillar in her work to help others feel supported in their financial journeys.

With a master's in counseling psychology, training with the Financial Therapy Association, and a certificate from the Center for Financial Social Work, Aja is committed to assisting people in the intersection of mental health and all things “money.” Aja has been quoted in major news outlets such as Bloomberg, The Washington Post, Well+Good, and NerdWallet. Coined the “feel-good financial therapist,” Aja is on a mission to get more people engaged in living their best life while attuning to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors around money.

When she isn’t encouraging people to talk openly about their emotions and money, you can find Aja running around after her two young children or looking into the next delicious place to eat.
